Sal LaMattina Stands Up to Yuppies
The dustup over the Old Ironsides cannons continues. Seems some residents of the condos near the ship are complaining about the noise from firing cannons on the ship twice daily. According to the Herald, Charlestown city councilor Sal LaMattina supports the navy, not the yuppies.
Kind of reminds me of the neighbors who wanted to shut down the 24-hour South Street Diner because it was noisy late at night. In both cases, why would you move to a noisy neighborhood if you can't handle noise? God knows there are plenty of quiet neighborhoods in this town...
Smart Celebrities
Tom/Katie/Suri go to Modern, not Mike's, and Jimmy Fallon waits in line at the Paramount. Let's hope Jimmy didn't try to grab a table before he got his food (big no-no). From the Herald's Inside Track.
Scary T Video Posted
Fox 25 has surveillance video from North Station where a drunk woman miraculously did not get hit by the Orange Line. Let's remember this little piece of good news from the T, because there ain't much of it.

New and Improved
Welcome to UrbanBoston, Boston's newest meta-blog. I've revamped the format to be more about posting the best links about Boston, less about what I think.
Think Unviversal Hub, but more about the downtown neighborhoods, Cambridge, and Somerville, less about West Roxbury and Dedham.
I hope you enjoy. Keep the comments flowing!
